Gooooooooooooo Huskies!

Last weekend we took the kids to the Husky game at Century Link Field (for those of you living under a rock, Rachel, Husky Stadium is being fully renovated).  It was a GORGEOUS day and we had such a fun time.  We all chowed on hot dogs outside the stadium before the game, then enjoyed a few treats while cheering the boys on to victory (more like, a butt-kicking victory).  We also enjoyed spending time with Grandpa Kiehl and Uncle Ward - which is always a bonus.  We just love getting to do this together as a family.  Just one of our many, special traditions.

Go Dawgs!

People have been telling me Jane is my Mini-me.  Okay, I see it now.
Brett has a Mini-me too!

I have no idea what this means.  Husky roar?

Check out this awesome organization I ran for this morning:
It was a gorgeous day and I had adorable cheerleaders at the finish line!

Sam goes to Preschool!

Monday was a big day for Sam.  It was FINALLY his turn to go to school.  He's attending the same preschool the girls did, Sunset Christian Preschool.  It's conveniently located at our church, less than two miles from our house.  For weeks Sam's been waking up, asking me, "I go to preschool today?"  To which I'd reply, "No bud.  We have three more weeks."  Then he'd say, "So, tomorrow?"  Yes folks, it was a long three weeks. :)

So far, his favorite things are cooking in the kitchen, painting and playing on the playground.  There are only eight kids in his class at this point, which is nice for getting to know each other.

We're so happy for Sam and thrilled he's having such a great time.

These two are super adorable, and super difficult to photograph.  :)
Sam and his good buddy, Taylor.

Trifecta!  He looked at the camera, opened his eyes AND smiled at the same time.  A small miracle.

He's ready!

First Day of School!!

I'm a little behind, but oh well.  We're about to start week 8 of the bathroom remodel (almost done!), and I've had lots of PTA stuff to do at the girls' school.  Phew!  We're recouping today in this beautiful sunshine:  Me, a 10 mi. run in Leschi along Lake Washington with my buddy Ward; Brett, with 9 holes of golf practice before his big round tomorrow; the kids (and me), at the new church playground, followed up by Slurpees.  Boo yah!

Charlotte is quite thrilled for 4th grade.  She's now at the top of the totem pole and enjoying every minute and privilege associated with being BMOC.  Her teacher is Mrs. Swanson, whom she'd been hoping for.

First grade Jane is PUMPED to have Mrs. Bacon this year.  Charlotte had Mrs. Bacon for 1st AND 2nd grade and we LOVE us some Mrs. Bacon!  Both girls have at least one BFF in their class, so needless to say, NO DRAMA (yet).

Of course Sam thought HE was going to school too, but alas, he doesn't start until the 10th.  He's pretty pumped to begin preschool, so stay tuned for this weeks pics.
