It wouldn't be fair not to have a silly picture!

The whole fam-damily with my Grandma Dodie (my dad's mom).
We were completely SHOCKED when she actually ASKED for her photo to be taken.
Unprecedented!

Grandpa is on the other side of those rhodies to keep the kids focused in that direction.

Sister Swap Sleepover

Our girls are besties with these awesome sister chicks named, Kira & Elke (and their mom is one of MY besties).  So we often do play date swaps.  Twice this summer, they've all been delighted when we've done SLEEPOVER SWAPS.  Super fun!  Last time, we had Charlotte & Kira at our house. But yesterday, we had "the twins".

Jane & Elke used to have matching blond bobs.  They've always gone to the same school/preschool and often get mistaken for each other, even though Elke is one grade ahead of Jane.  Now that they have "grown up girl hair"...well...not much has changed. :)

They had a ball last night swimming, eating dinner, having a movie night (Enchanted) and even let Sam tag along a bit. Right now, (1:18 pm the next day) they're in dress up riding scooters in the driveway.

The twins.  Elke 7, Jane 6.5

14 years ago "I did"

Who the heck let these kids get married anyway?
Thanks, Moms and Dads!

And I remember every second!  It was the perfect day with the perfect people and the perfect man.

He's still perfect.

Thank you, honey for 14 years of marriage, nearly 20 years of fun, 3 crazy-wonderful children and a blessed life.

I wouldn't want to do ANY of this without you.

You're still my favorite.
(Don't tell the kids.)

Crescent Bar 2012

We truly had a wonderful week away in Crescent Bar last week.  The weather was SO HOT!  I mean, 93-100 degrees everyday!  We had tons of pool, canal, ice cream and playground time.  The kids had a blast on golf cart rides, putting on the Slip 'N Slide Olympics, knocking around the golf ball and spending time with Grandma & Grandpa Kiehl. We're thankful for a fun family week away enjoying a really beautiful part of our state.  Enjoy photos of the chaos family fun!

The kids had SO much fun playing in "the lake" (canal).

We sent the kids on a playground treasure hunt.  Here they are on the beach digging up their treasure.

Hamming it up during the "Slip 'n Slide Olympics".  Stay tuned for videos...

Sam loved showing us his farmer tan muscles all week.

Charlotte had a ball!

Jane could have done this ALL DAY.

Off the high dive.  This was awesome!  I think somebody was inspired by the Olympics.

Gorgeous girl at sunset

I just love sitting in my pj's, drinking coffee and reading my book as the sun comes up on these cliffs each morning.
One of the special vacation moments I look forward to.

Sweet, sweet Janey

Oh Sam

We found him like this at 10pm.
Dirty, tired, summertime feet, and some good books.
Life is good.

First Swim Meet

I promised I'd have swim pictures for Charlotte soon, as I'd already blogged "the littles" swim lesson photos.  So here are pictures from Charlotte's first swim meet with the Fircrest Frogs on Monday.  She swam the 50 m freestyle, the 50 m breast and participated in the 25 m freestyle relay.  I was so proud of her!!
Check out that look of  fierce determination at the start

Great form, Sis!

Our sweet swimming girl.  Love her!
